Over 55,000 Sudanese refugees have found refuge in Chad in the present year, thereby increasing the rate of refugees who cross the borders through cities such as Adre and Tine to 400 refugees a day. According to the United Nations, there has been an increase in the influx of refugees due to the severe shortage of food, water, and sanitation facilities. In addition, with over 11 million refugees since the beginning of the conflict between the Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces in April 2023, there are chances that the condition might worsen if the United Nations does not receive urgent funding of $1.6 billion within the next few weeks.
